When the crane can’t get in, the machine still has to go in.

Laxmi Enterprises lifts, drags, shifts and sets down heavy-duty machinery — including inside sheds, basements and gangways where no crane can reach. Founded 1992, run by the same family since.

What we move, and what that actually involves

End-to-end heavy erection and logistics handling. One team plans the load path, rigs it, moves it and sets it down on its foundation.

Heavy lifting & dragging

Raising, lowering and hauling loads that are too heavy, too awkward or too tightly boxed in for standard lifting gear.

Hydraulic jacks, chain pulley blocks, gantries and pull-lifts, rigged to a load plan worked out before anything moves.

Shifting & precision positioning

Relocating machinery within a plant or between sites, then seating it on its foundation to the tolerance the OEM asks for.

Roller skates and skid systems for the travel; jacking, cribbing and shimming for the final few millimetres.

Loading & unloading

Getting heavy-duty machinery on and off trailers safely, including at yards with no ramp, no dock and no crane on hand.

Ramp building, packing and lashing supervision, and unloading sequenced so the trailer is never left unstable.

Manual heavy erection

Assembling and installing heavy equipment inside confined or inaccessible spaces — our core speciality since 1992.

Customised tools built in-house for jobs that no catalogue rigging kit is made for.

Where cranes fail, we deliver

We use cranes when a crane is the right tool. The work we are actually known for starts where the crane stops.

Basements with a low slab. Stairwells and gangways narrower than the machine. Terraces with no lifting point overhead. Live plants where a crane cannot be brought in without shutting the floor down. These are the jobs that get passed around until somebody says no.

Our riggers work them by hand, with customised heavy-duty tools and a load path calculated before the first jack goes under. Every move is planned, staged and checked — the precision comes from the method, not from the machine doing the lifting.

  • Site survey firstAccess, floor loading, headroom and turning radius measured before we quote.
  • Load path on paperEvery stage of the move drawn out, with the rigging and the resting points fixed in advance.
  • Tools built for the jobWhere standard gear does not fit, we fabricate what does.
  • Veteran riggers on the floorCrews who have done this for decades, supervised directly by the owner.
  • Nothing moves unplannedIf the plan does not hold up, the load stays where it is until it does.

Built by a labourer. Run by his son.

Laxmi Enterprises did not start as a company. It started as one man on a plant floor who was better at the work than anyone around him.

1992

Shri Giraju Sakharam Gawari goes independent

He began on the ground as a skilled labourer. His work ethic and precision were noticed by the clients he worked for, and they pushed him to take projects on his own account. Laxmi Enterprises was founded on that encouragement.

1992–2019

A reputation earned on difficult jobs

Three decades of heavy erection in industrial environments where the margin for error is thin. The business grew through repeat clients and word of mouth rather than tendering — the work spoke for itself.

Today

Sachin Giraju Gawari leads the company

The founder's son now runs Laxmi Enterprises, combining the traditional rigging knowledge he grew up around with modern logistics planning. The methods have been updated. The standard has not.

Why clients keep calling the same number

Thirty years of rigging on real sites

A trained crew with hands-on technical experience, not a labour supply arrangement put together per project.

No project left unfinished

Since 1992 we have not walked away from a job or handed one back part-done.

Commitments we can actually keep

If a move cannot be done safely in the window you have, we say so before you book us, not on the day.

A family business, answerable in person

The owner is reachable and on site. Client relationships here outlast individual projects by decades.

Questions we get asked

Can you install a machine where a crane cannot reach it?

That is the work we are known for. Basements with a low slab, stairwells and gangways narrower than the machine, terraces with no lifting point overhead, live plants where a crane cannot be brought in without shutting the floor down — we do those by hand, with customised rigging tools and a load path worked out before anything moves.

What kinds of machinery do you handle?

Power transformers, dry-type and cast-resin transformers, DG sets, chillers and AHUs, GIS and switchgear, electrical panels, rolling mills and mill stands, gearboxes and drive lines, presses and machine tools.

Do you work inside plants that are still running?

Yes. Much of our work is in occupied buildings and operating plants, sequenced around live equipment and, where needed, done out of hours so the floor keeps running.

Which areas do you cover?

We are based at Taloja Phase 2 in Navi Mumbai and work across Mumbai and Navi Mumbai, and on project sites across India.

How does a job start?

With a site survey. We measure access, floor loading, headroom and turning radius before quoting, then come back with a method and a price. If a move cannot be done safely in the window you have, we say so before you book us.

Do you handle transport and unloading as well as erection?

Yes — loading and unloading of heavy-duty machinery, including at yards with no ramp, no dock and no crane on hand, through to final positioning on the foundation.

Tell us what needs moving

Send the machine, its approximate weight and where it has to end up. We will survey the site and come back with a method and a price.
